The leadership framework of the EIF consists of three principal bodies.
Together, they oversee the day-to-day management, strategic proposals, and operational planning, with the EIF Chief Executive reporting directly to the Board of Directors. Furthermore, the EIF’s Statutes and Rules of Procedure provide more details on the role and operating principle of our governing bodies, including senior leadership.
The Chief Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management of the EIF.
Within the policies and guidelines adopted by the Board, the CE decides on transactions, mandates, as well as policy and strategic proposals, which may be presented to the Board for approval.
The Chief Executive also submits the EIF’s Operational Plan for the Board's approval, entailing operational, strategic and budgetary implications. Certain operations that are fulfilling specific criteria, may be approved by the Chief Executive acting under a delegation from the Board of Directors.
