The initiative will help support the emergence of technology transfer and deep tech fund managers in the national ecosystem.
We are selecting fund managers for this new initiative, launched in partnership with Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación and Innvierte (CDTI-Innvierte).
The initiative is a dedicated fund targeting technology transfer (“TT”) and deep tech (“DT”) investments in Spain, which will provide risk financing to TT and DT projects and companies and thus, it will be supporting the commercialisation of research linked to the country.
The European Investment Fund (EIF), part of the European Investment Bank Group, in partnership with the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación and Innvierte (CDTI-Innvierte) , will select fund managers, to manage funds which will target TT and DT investments in Spain. The initiative will make available risk financing to TT and DT projects and companies to support the commercialisation of scientific achievements and research linked to Spain.
Eligibility criteria
Fund managers wishing to apply should demonstrate:

A fund strategy that invests in TT and DT projects linked to Spain and an investment pipeline to support such strategy

A strong team and track-record of working with proof-of-concept projects and early-stage companies

An ability to secure significant private capital in addition to public support
